Year Range – That should be pretty self explanatory.
Shock Series – Choose between 2.0 or 2.5. The 2.5 is a larger, better performing shock that has the option to adjust compression (soften or stiffen the ride) The 2.5 is also great for those that really push the limits and/or run their rigs at higher speeds.
Extended Travel – Gain an extra 7/8″ of shock travel on the front coilovers. (aftermarket UCAs required)
Spring Rate – The amount of weight needed to compress a spring. If you have aftermarket bumpers or a lot of extra weight, go with a higher spring rate or “heavy” spring.
Remote Reservoir – You can select the following:
- “No” and you’ll get the standard IFP (Internal Floating Piston).
- “Yes – WITHOUT Compression Adjuster” – you’ll get additional cooling with the “resi”, but also gain longevity in the shock. The main purpose for a remote reservoir is to decrease the amount of operating pressure in the shock. Less pressure = decreased friction and wear on seals.
- “Yes – WITH Compression Adjuster” – same as above, but with a little external knob on the resi that allows you to soften or stiffen the dampening of the shock. Stiffen it for better handling on the road or soften it up when you hit the trails off-road.
UCAs – Aftermarket Upper Control Arms (UCA) are recommended when you do a lift or go to an “extended travel” shock up front. These will help fix your caster and allow more room between the coil and the UCA at full drop unlike an OEM upper control arm. Furthermore if you live somewhere that sees road salt in the winter months, go with the Nitro UCAs with the replaceable ball joint and OEM bushings. The uniballs that come on the Total Chaos UCAs don’t typically do well with road salt.
Rear Link Set – Recommended for both strength, alignment, added performance, and more articulation. RESZ Fab links are made out of much heavier material to prevent bending while off-roading. We also use some of the best and lowest maintenance joints on the market – Duroflex Joints. The lower link joint on the axle end is offset to allow for more drop before the axle housing comes in contact with the lower link. The upper links are offset at both ends to prevent coming in contact with the gas tank at full drop. Last but not least, our links come with a limited lifetime warranty. Bend a link and we’ll replace it!
